Hosted by Mahdlo Youth Zone, nominations are open for this year's Shine Awards.
The awards recognise young people across Oldham who are making a difference through their actions, achievements and contributions.
Now in its second year, the Shine Awards invite members of the community to nominate young people who deserve recognition across four categories: Rising Star, Youth Voice, Community Champion and Inspirational Young Person of the Year.
The awards are open to both Junior (8 – 13 years) and Senior (14 – 19 years, or up to 25 for young people with a disability) nominees across Oldham.
Anyone can nominate a young person for an award, including parents, carers, teachers, friends, local organisations and neighbours.
Lucy Lees, Chief Executive of Mahdlo Youth Zone, said: "Young people across Oldham are achieving brilliant things every day, many of which go unnoticed.
"From showing kindness and supporting others to overcoming challenges and demonstrating real leadership, creativity and resilience, young people are making a positive impact in so many ways. "Mahdlo Youth Zone is proud to once again host this year's Shine Awards and bring the community together to celebrate young people across the borough.
"We would encourage people across Oldham to take the time to nominate a young person and shine a light on their achievements."
Nominations for the Shine Awards close at midnight on 28 July, with the awards ceremony taking place at Mahdlo Youth Zone in early November 2026.
