Oldham Mountain Rescue Team Called to Assist Injured Walker

According to a press release from OMRT, on Sunday ( March 8) morning the Oldham Mountain Rescue Team was called to assist North West Ambulance Service after a walker fell whilst visiting the Dove Stone Reservoir. The person sustained multiple injuries.


Volunteer team members located the casualty, where an OMRT Remote Rescue Medical Technician carried out an assessment for injuries, administered pain relief and splinted a suspected broken arm. The casualty was then carefully transferred onto a stretcher before being carried around the reservoir to the waiting ambulance for onward care.
