An elderly lady was robbed of her gold outside the Madina Mosque and Islamic Centre on Clydesdale Street, Coppice, Oldham.
The offender, it is alleged, was a female in a headscarf, who approached her pretending to offer jewellery for sale, then took the gold she was wearing.
Please be aware:
• Do NOT engage with anyone offering unsolicited jewellery for sale.
• Do NOT approach or stop to talk to people you don’t know, especially if you are alone.
• Be extra mindful of elderly family members and neighbours. Please pass this message on to them.
